April 08, 2018: In a major reshuffle, the BJP-led State government has transferred 66 police officers including six district police chiefs and 12 Commandants of Tripura State Rifles battalions. The transfer list includes IPS, TPS Grade-I and Grade-II officers.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration (personnel and Training) department of the state government on Sunday,
Ajit Pratap Singh (IPS), incumbent SP Unakoti, will now take over as SP West while incumbent SP West Abhijit Saptarshi will now discharge his duties as SP CID. The incumbent SP (CID) Sanjoy Roy (IPS) has been transferred and posted as commandant of 13th battalion TSR.
Lucky Chauhan, incumbent Addl. SP (Urban) of West Tripura district, will be the first Woman SP of Unakoti district.
Jal Singh Meena (IPS) incumbent AIG (Headquarters) became SP South.
Avula Ramesh Reddy (IPS), the incumbent commandant of TSR 1st and 2nd battalions, has become new SP Gomati while the incumbent SP Gomati Bijoy Debbarma (TPS Gr-I) has been transferred and posted as Commandant of TSR 1st battalion.
Smriti Ranjan Das (IPS), incumbent SP Dhalai, has been transferred and posted as AIGP (law and order) while Sudipta Das (IPS), incumbent SP Sepahijala has been shifted as SP Dhalai.
Kulwant Singh (IPS), Addl. SP Dhalai district has been transferred as SP Sepahijala.
Incumbent SP (Procurement) Subrata Chakraborty (TPS Gr-I) has been transferred and posted as AIG (Training) instead of AIG(Pers) which looks after training matter only and commandant of 13th battalion TSR, Jayanta Chakraborty (TPS Gr-I) will now look after the charges of SP(Procurement).
Incumbent SP (Traffic) Rati Ranjan Debnath (IPS) has been transferred as commandant of 12th battalion TSR. He has been replaced by Pinaki Samanta (TPS Gr-I), incumbent commandant of CIAT.
Kamal Chakraborty (IPS), the incumbent AIGP (police housing and construction), has been transferred and posted as commandant of 3rd battalion TSR with the additional charges of commandant of CIAT.
Sudeshna Bhattacharjee (TPS Gr-I), the principal of KTDS police training academy, has been transferred as commandant of CTI and Tapan Kumar Debnath (TPS Gr-I) incumbent AIG(TSR) will now look after the charges of principal KTDS police training academy.
