Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura Justice Indrajit Mohanty pitched for instilling confidence among the children.

 

Justice Mohanty was addressing an interactive programme on children’s rights. Tripura State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) organized the programme and a poster exhibition at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala on Sunday as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration.

 

Chief-Justice-Indrajit-Mohanty-Tripura-High-CourtIn the programmes, Supreme Court judge, Justice Uday Umesh Lalit who is also Executive Chairperson of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) unveiled a booklet on children’s rights. Justice Lalit and other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion.

 

Addressing the interactive session, Justice Mahanty called upon people to come forward in helping children grow with self-confidence. People should help children in developing confidence in them.

 

Among others, Justice Subhasis Talapatra, who is the Executive Chairperson of Tripura State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) and State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Chairperson Nilima Ghosh, also spoke on the occasion.

 

Justice Arindam Lodh, Justice Satya Gopal Chattopadhyay of the High Court of Tripura, and National Legal Services Authority’s Director Puneet Sehgal and other dignitaries were also present at the event.

 

Three students representing three different schools also delivered speeches. The students who shared their dreams through their speeches were also felicitated. Later, the programme was ended after a cultural programme.

 

The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has been conducting such awareness-based programmes as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav since 2 October last and will continue till 14th November. From 8th to 14th November, Legal Services Week will be celebrated across the country.
