Agartala: The Tripura State Cooperative Bank (TSCB) has entered a new phase of digital expansion after achieving its strongest financial performance in history. The bank recorded a net profit of Rs 78.08 crore during the financial year 2025-26 and introduced new digital banking facilities to improve customer accessibility across the state.
The announcements were made during the 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of TSCB held at Nazrul Kalakshetra in Agartala on Saturday. The AGM highlighted the bank’s financial growth, expanding service network and technology-driven initiatives.
TSCB Chairman Nagadhiraj Dutta and Managing Director Bhajan Chandra Roy said the bank’s performance reflects its continued growth and efforts to modernise banking services while maintaining its focus on rural development.
Dutta said TSCB registered an operating profit of Rs 166.08 crore in 2025-26, marking a 40 per cent increase over the previous financial year. The bank’s net profit of Rs 78.08 crore grew by 103 per cent compared to 2024-25, making it the highest annual profit recorded since the institution’s establishment.
The latest financial performance also extended TSCB’s profitability streak to seven consecutive years.
TSCB Launches Mobile Banking Service, Expands Digital Access
As part of its digital transformation initiative, Cooperation Minister Shuklacharan Noatia launched TSCB’s mobile banking service on the Apple App Store during the AGM.
The move aims to provide customers with easier access to banking facilities without depending only on physical branches. The bank also expanded its service infrastructure with the inauguration of a new ATM counter at the Vikramnagar branch by Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.
Currently, TSCB operates through 67 branches and provides ATM services through 12 locations across Tripura.
Bank Business Crosses Rs 6,950 Crore Mark
TSCB Chairman Nagadhiraj Dutta said the bank’s total business volume reached Rs 6,950.92 crore during the 2025-26 financial year.
The figure represents an increase of nearly Rs 289.11 crore compared to the previous year, reflecting steady growth in deposits, lending and overall banking operations.
Established on January 21, 1957, TSCB is the oldest cooperative bank in the Northeast region. Over the years, the institution has played a significant role in expanding cooperative banking services and supporting economic activities in rural Tripura.
Government Highlights Role in Rural Financial Development
Addressing the AGM, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said cooperative banks continue to play an important role in strengthening the rural economy.
He highlighted TSCB’s contribution towards supporting small and marginal farmers, unemployed youth and rural entrepreneurs through financial assistance schemes of the Central and state governments.

The Finance Minister said TSCB’s Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio stands at 66 per cent, which is higher than Tripura’s average CD ratio of 55 per cent.
He stressed the importance of improving customer service and simplifying lending procedures to help small traders, entrepreneurs and individuals access institutional credit more easily.
Cooperative Banking and SHG Support Remain Key Focus
Cooperation Minister Shuklacharan Noatia said the cooperative movement is aimed at strengthening rural communities and accelerating economic development.
He said self-help groups (SHGs) across Tripura have benefited from cooperative bank loans and are becoming financially independent through income-generating activities.
During the AGM, TSCB released its Annual Report for 2025-26. The bank also handed over a dividend of Rs 16.83 lakh to the Tripura government.
With the launch of mobile banking services and expansion of ATM facilities, TSCB is combining its traditional cooperative banking role with digital financial solutions to serve customers across Tripura more effectively.
