Minister Sushanta lauds emerging entrepreneurial mindset among youth
Agartala, Dec 1: Tripura is witnessing a visible transformation in the mindset of its young population, said Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Sunday.
He added, more youths stepping into entrepreneurship and consumers increasingly opting for premium, smart-utility products.
Speaking at the inauguration of a newly launched two-storied Jaquar showroom – set up by Kinexus Infraware (India) Solutions LLP at Ker Chowmuhani – Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said the surge of young business owners is reshaping Tripura’s economic landscape.
Jaquar, known nationally for its high-end bathroom and lighting solutions, has showcased an extensive range of luxury and utility-driven products, including advanced ‘Water Therapy’ features, at the new outlet.
Chowdhury pointed out that the entrepreneurial spirit of young Tripuris is becoming a powerful force in the state’s development journey.
He noted that the new showroom itself is run entirely by young owners and employees.
“The involvement of our youth in diverse economic activities is truly motivating. I firmly believe that many more young people will come forward and become catalysts of growth across various sectors, accelerating Tripura’s progress,” he said.
Highlighting the shift in consumer behaviour, the Minister said increased purchasing power has encouraged people to look for durable, high-quality goods.

Wishing the new venture success, Chowdhury said such youth-led enterprises is playing vital roles in shaping Tripura’s economic future.
AMC Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, Tripura Human Rights Commission Chairperson Justice Arindam Lodh, and several other dignitaries were present at the inauguration.
