Mortal remains of proprietor of Sister Gura Masala Gautam Paul reached Agartala airport on Tuesday and started his final journey from his Banamalipur residence.
A large number of people including his friends and associates assembled at house to pay their last respects.
After his mortal remains reached his house today afternoon, a pall of gloom descended and grief stricken people assembled there broke into tears.
Apart from his family members, relatives and long time friends, several bussiness men from different parts of the State as well from Chennai, Rajasthan, Shillong and other parts of the country arrived at his house to pay their last respects.
A good number of journalists including veteran Editors Samir Paul, Samiran Roy and Agartala Press club president Jayanta Bhattacharjee paid floral tributes to Gautam Paul.
Tripura Pradesh Congress chief Asish Saha, Left leader Sankar Dutta, EM of TTAADC Kamal Kalio also paid respect to the departed soul.
Soon after the reports of demise of Gautam Paul surfaced, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and others paid respects to Paul and extended sympathy to the bereaved family members.
