Speaking to media, CPM leaders said that they were holding their protest programmes as part of party’s national programme at Dhaleswar and Ramthakur Sangha areas. They also said that it was peaceful agitation and BJP backed goons attacked them without any provocation.
In his reaction CPM leader Amal Chakraborty said, it will be wrong to say that all the BJP supporters are ‘bad’, however, only a section of the party is creating troubles. He urged the trouble makers to understand that CPM supporters were highlighting demand to reduce petrol price – this would benefit the trouble makers also.
The CPM State Committee condemned the attacks and demanded strict actions against the miscreants.
