Chaos prevailed at Kailashahar Netaji Vidyapith English Medium School on Friday after some job aspirants were reportedly denied entry by the School authority into the examination centre to appear for Tripura Joint Recruitment Board conducted examinations for MTS-Group D posts.

Angry job aspirants padlocked the school gate in protest.

The examination was held in several other schools under Kailashahar today as per schedule. Even as the examinations in other schools were conducted without any problem, trouble broke out at the Netaji Vidyapith English Medium School.

Sources said, a total of 208 candidates were scheduled to appear in the exam at the School today. However, 138 candidates appeared while 65 remained absent.

According to the rules, candidates were asked to enter into the examination centers one-and-half-hour before the examination starts – the examinations started at 10 am and ended at 12 noon.

Some of the candidates reached the examination venue at Netaji Vidyapith English Medium School after the stipulated time.

Due to the delayed arrival of some of the candidates, the school authority denied them permission to enter and sit for the exam.

The candidates alleged, some of them were delayed due to the bad weather by just a couple of minutes – they too failed to appear in the examination as the authority closed the gate.

After repeated requests by the respective candidates fell flat, they fumed and padlocked the school gate.

As a result, 138 candidates who appeared for the exam and the teachers of the school remained locked inside the school even after the examination was over.

Later, DCM Manas Murasing along with Kailashahar Police personnel and TSR jawans reached the school gate and broke open the lock.
