Tripura News: State observes Vidyasagar’s birth Anniv

The 202^nd Birth Anniversary of Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar was solemnly observed in the State along with the whole nation. Different organizations organized programmes across the States commemorating the Birth Anniversary.

The main programme was held at Drop Gate area in Agartala. The Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) Department arranged the programme. Floral tributes were paid to the bust of Vidyasagar at the Drop gate. Among others, chairman of the Cultural Advisory committee of the ICA, Subhash Deb offered flowers at the bust.

Besides, School Education Department held a programme commemorating the 202^nd Birth Anniversary of Vidyasagar at Natunnagar Higher Secondary School in which MLA Dilip Das was present. Speaking on the occasion, Das highlighted different aspects of life and visions of Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar.

Several other organizations also observed the birth anniversary of the polymath Vidyasagar today.
