With the initiative of Tripura State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA), an interactive programme and poster exhibition on children’s right will be organised on Sunday at 11 am at Rabindra Bhawan as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsay.

 

The programme will be inaugurated by Chief Justice of Supreme Court and Executive Chairperson of National Legal Services Authority Uday Umesh Lalit.

 

Supreme Court Justice Hrishikesh Roy will be present as special guest in the programme to be presided by Tripura High Court Chief Justice Indrajit Mohanty.

 

Tripura High Court Justice and Tripura State Legal Services Chairman Subhashish Tolapatra, Tripura High Court Justice Arindam Lodh, Justice Satyagopal Chatterjee, State Child Protection Commission Chairperson Nilima Ghosh and Secretary of National Legal Services Authority Ashok Kumar Jain and Director Puneet Sehgal.

 

The theme of the interactive programme and poster exhibition is `Children’s rights, protecting children: Providing hope’. About one thousand students studying in standard 6th to 7th will be taking part in the programme.

 

The National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) has been conducting such awareness-based programmes as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav since 2M October and will continue till 14th November. From 8th to 14th November, Legal Services Week will be celebrated across the country.
