Rising chess talent Aradhya Das from Tripura has added another feather to her cap by clinching the silver medal at the prestigious Asian School Chess Rapid tournament held in Thailand. She scored an impressive 5 points in 7 rounds to secure her place on the podium.

She carried this momentum into the second round, defeating Tan Meri Jenell from the Philippines. The third round saw her engage in a hard-fought draw against Jungluna Yeziyo from New Zealand.

Despite a setback in the fourth round, Aradhya made a powerful comeback, defeating Enkrimen Nyayamdarg from Mongolia in the fifth.

In the sixth round, she held her ground for another draw against a Mongolian opponent. In the crucial seventh and final round, Aradhya emerged victorious, cementing her total of 5 points and earning the silver medal.

Her coach, FIDE Master Prasenjit Dutta, expressed immense pride in her performance.

Speaking from Delhi, he congratulated Aradhya on her outstanding achievement and extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.

Notably, Aradhya Das, the youngest female Candidate Master from Northeast India, continues to make history. With her latest success, she now boasts an incredible haul of one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal at this tournament, further solidifying her position as a rising star in the chess world.
