March 21, 2018: The Chief Minister Biplab Deb and Deputy CM Jishnu Deb Varman will arrive in Agartala today after successfully concluding whirlwind Delhi Tour. During his Delhi tour, the Union Ministers overwhelmingly responded to Deb’s demand and agreed to extend huge monetary and other assistance for taking Tripura to a new high. Informed sources said, Central Government has stood firmly behind Deb and all Deb is now need to ensure that state administration gears up to implement so many projects at a time.
On Tuesday, the Union Government accepted series of proposals mooted by the Chief Minister. A quick look at Central assurances made on Tuesday :
- Two more Indian Reserve TSR Bn,
- 3 lakh LPG connections,
- Improving infrastructure for piped domestic gas connections ,
- Skill Development in Hydrocarbon by ONGC,
- Rs. 292 Cr for Urban development,
- Rs 1320 Cr for Dist HQs development,
- Rs 384 Cr for 24 new Ekalavya Schools,
- NITI-Ayog & DONER to hold Tripura specific meet
In his maiden Delhi tour after becoming Chief Minister of Tripura, Bipla Kumar Deb accompanied by the Dy Chief Minister Jishnu Deb Varman, has suucessfully hit the jackpot and the Union Government has agreed to arrange funds for the development of the State and job creation for the youths. During last two days, all the local Newspaper houses were busy in listing out the bonanza that the Central Government agreed to extend for Tripura. During his visits with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Central Ministers, Biplab Deb seek their blessings and also convinced them to generously sanction funds to bail out the State Government from deep financial crisis as well as to ensure rapid development in all sectors.
All these developmental schemes, if implemented properly will surely usher new dawn in Tripura. “During the Left Front Regime, stress was on REGA for employment generation. However, Biplab Deb-led BJP Government is eyeing to generate jobs through skill development. Spending by the Government for development of Urban areas, District HQs etc will push up money supply in the State generating earning opportunities for entrepreneurs and poorer section of the society” , said a senior Agartala based Journalist.
