National Yogasana Examination: Dharmanagar Girl Bags Gold Medal
Dharmanagar, Dec 9: In a proud achievement for Tripura, Yogasana student Antara Debnath of Dharmanagar has secured a national-level Gold Medal.
Antara, a student of Tamalini’s Chaya won the medal after scoring the highest marks in both theoretical and practical components of the 7th-Year Yogasana (Yog Nandan) Examination for 2024–2025.
The evaluation was conducted by Suranandan Bharati, a prominent organisation known for its cultural and academic contributions across India.
The Gold medal was officially conferred on December 4, 2025 at the 32nd All India Conference and Convocation Ceremony held at the Indumati Auditorium, Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
The programme was graced by notable personalities including Pandit Mallar Ghosh, elocutionist Mallika Ghosh, and Agartala Press Club vice-president Chitra Roy, among others.
Antara received her Gold Medal and certificate from the dignitaries present on stage.
She attended the ceremony along with her father Abhijit Debnath, mother Shilpi (Majumder) Nath, younger brother Arghajit Debnath, and Amita Nath, founder and mentor of Tamalini’s Chaya.
The event became even more noteworthy for the institution as Amita Nath was also honoured with the “Kabya Nandan” award during the same ceremony.
While accepting the honour, she expressed gratitude to Suranandan Bharati’s All India Secretary Ritish Ranjan Chakraborty for the recognition.
During the programme, Antara presented a Yogasana demonstration on stage, while Amita Nath recited her self-composed poem, showcasing the cultural and artistic representation of Tripura.
Despite being only six years old, Tamalini’s Chaya institution has already produced impressive results.
Its students secured a total of four awards through examinations conducted by Bangiya Sangeet Parishad and Suranandan Bharati in different categories.
Speaking about the institution’s journey, director Amita Nath shared that several young learners under the academy are showing exceptional promise.

She expressed confidence that they will continue to achieve excellence and bring further recognition to the organisation and to Tripura in the future.
Antara Debnath’s success marks a significant milestone for Dharmanagar and stands as an inspiration for Yogasana learners across the State.
