SKOCH 2025: Tripura Gramin Bank Recognised for Best Practices
Agartala Jan 10: Tripura Gramin Bank’s expanding role in transforming rural banking and promoting inclusive financial growth has received national recognition, with the institution securing the SKOCH Award 2025 for its innovative operational practices.
The award, regarded as one of the country’s most credible independent recognitions in governance and development, is granted after an intensive multi-layered evaluation that measures measurable outcomes and institutional impact.
Tripura Gramin Bank successfully cleared each phase of scrutiny, underscoring its focus on innovation-led services, financial accessibility, and improved customer engagement.
The honour was formally announced and presented at the 105th edition of the SKOCH Summit, themed “Governing Viksit Bharat”, which took place today (January 10, 2026), at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
Representing the bank at the national forum, Chairman Satyendra Singh and Manager (Marketing) Jeet Bhattacharya from the Head Office were invited to receive the award.
Officials said the recognition reflects the bank’s sustained efforts to modernise rural banking through technology-driven initiatives while extending formal financial services to remote and underserved communities across Tripura.
The bank’s initiatives have played a significant role in strengthening grassroots economic participation and improving access to credit and banking facilities.
