The Left Front has named Amitabha Datta as its candidate for the by-election to the Dharmanagar Assembly constituency in Tripura, which fell vacant after the death of former Speaker Biswabandhu Sen.

The Left Front has announced its list of candidates for the upcoming elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) scheduled in 2026. The Leftists announced its candidates for all of 28 seats.
The list includes nominees from the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Communist Party of India, Revolutionary Socialist Party and the All India Forward Bloc as part of the Left Front alliance.
According to the list, most of the candidates have been fielded by CPI(M), while a few seats have been allotted to its alliance partners.
One constituency, Machmara, has been allotted to the All India Forward Bloc and the candidate for that seat will be announced later.
From Damcherra–Jampui constituency, Barendra Reang (52) has been nominated, while Ramakanta Nath (58) will contest from Kanchanpur. Sadhan Chakma (52) has been fielded from Karamcherra and Badarbhum Halam (61) from Demcherra–Kachucherra. Khusiram Tripura (47) will contest from Chawmanu, while Rahul Das (38) has been nominated from Manu.
Sumati Ranjan Chakma (45) has been named candidate from Raimavalley and Dhanchamani Reang (48) from Gandacherra–Ganganagar. Karim Debbarma (27) will contest from Asharambari–Halalahli and Atul Debbarma (60) from Kulai–Champlahaur.
Ratan Kishore Jamatia (33) has been nominated from Teliamura–Maharani, while Samaresh Debbarma (52) will contest from Ramchandraghat. Surya Debbarma (40) has been fielded from Mandwi–Pulinpur and Radhacharan Debbarma (63) from Jirania.
Amulya Debbarma (50) will contest from Simna–Tamakari and Sanjit Debbarma (47) from Budhjung Nagar–Waki Nagar. Brajalal Debbarma (45) has been nominated from Pekuarjola–Janmejoy Nagar and Benilal Debbarma (38) from Takajola–Jampuijola.
Brinda Debbarma (42) will contest from Amtali–Gholaghati, while Amrita Sadhan Jamatia (46) has been fielded from Bagma. Magendra Reang (45) will represent the Left Front from Natun Bazar–Malbasa.

Haradhan Jamatia (46) has been nominated by RSP from Maharani–Chellagang. Prithwiraj Koloi (44) will contest from Ompi, while Narendra Reang (50) has been fielded by CPI from Birchandra–Kalashi.
Parikshit Murasing (51) will contest from Kathalia–Mirza–Rajapur and Barjung Tripura (55) from Purba Muhuripur–Bhuratali. Uchathoi Mog (37) has been nominated from Silacharri–Manu Bankul.
