October 15, 2017: BJP is highlighting pre-poll violence allegedly unleashed by CPIM supporters as a one of the major poll planks. Today, protesting against assaults on BJP supporters, BJP today held a bike rally in West Tripura District.
Bike borne BJP supporters started a bike rally today from Chandrapur and raced through Ranirbazar, Mandai, Jirania and Mohanpur. State BJP president Biplab Deb and prabhari Sunil Deodhar took part the rally.
Referring to recent violence in Mirza, Deb said, , CPIM supporters have resorted to violent tactics and are trying to terrorize BJP supporters. The Party cadres are also attempting to manipulate voters’ list in its desperate bid to retain power. However, BJP is determined to resist such attacks and safe guard democratic interests of common people.
Apart from sending a stern signal to ‘hostile’ CPIM supporters, the bike rally aimed at denouncing Leftist’s propaganda suggesting BJP responsible for recent violence in the area.
“As BJP is emerging as a major force, CPIM has launched false and malicious propaganda connecting BJP with undesirable incidents as part of its political plan. Today’s bike rally will send a strong counter campaign”, said Deodhar.
