In Bihar, 60 percent of voting was recorded during the fifth and final phase of polling today, AIR News reported. According to sources, polls passed off peacefully in 57 constituencies spread over Nine districts today. Bihar Chief Electoral officer Ajay Nayak said highest 67.27 percent voting was recorded in Katihar followed by Kishanganj 64.39, Araria 62 percent , Purnea 62.95, Supaul 58.6, darbhanga 58.27 percent, Madhepura 57.84 Madhubani 55.87 and Saharsa 50.78 percent. The final turnout may go up as people standing in the queue will be allowed to vote even after 5 p.m. After today’s voting, electoral fortune of 827 including 58 women have been sealed in EVMs. Counting on votes will be on Sunday.
