October 24, 2017: The Tripura Government has given maximum priority to health, education, access to drinking water etc. The State Government aims at bringing largest portion of the population under coverage of developmental schemes to ensure better living standards. Deputy Speaker Pabitra Kar said this today in Teliamura under Khowai district.
Saying that development alone can ensure further improvement, he also mentioned that developmental activities should be carry forward for sustainable growth. Attending an alumni programme today, he urged the former students of the School to come forward and join hands ensuring quality education.
Speaking in the programme, Pabitra Kar said, the State Government topped in attaining literacy. State has also achieved remarkable success in immunization programme. School network expanded to remote corner of the State so that rural people can avail education free of cost.
Reiterating State Government’s resolve to work for the interest of weaker section of the society, he said Tripura Government has accorded importance in providing drinking water facilities in far-flung areas. Absence of beggars is an indication of development of the State”, he asserted.
“Despite all the success there is no place for being complacent and efforts should be on track for further improvement” he commented.
