October 25: State unit of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) today held a mammoth rally in Agartala in support of 28-point charter of demand. The well attended rally marched to Secretariat to submit the demand list to the Chief Secretary of the State. Implementation of recommendations of 7th Pay Commission and accordingly payment of dues from January 1, 2016 – is that prime demand. At the same time, BMS demanded to extend facilities enjoyed by the State Government employees to PSUs, Autonomous Organizations and Tripura Medical College employees.
Raising pensions under all types of social security scheme to Rs 5000 per month is another important demand. In rally, BMS members also raised slogans for pensioners, Police, TSR, Pump Operators, NRHM, SSA and Contractual employees.
