Agartala: India’s economic transformation, agricultural achievements and growing global presence became the focus of a speech delivered by Ratan Lal Nath during a district-level natural farming workshop in Tripura.

The Agriculture Minister addressed the One Day District Level Workshop on Natural Farming organised under the Khet Bachao Abhiyan initiative at Madhumala SB School in KK Nagar, Bishalgarh. He spoke about India’s changing economic position and the contribution of farmers to the nation’s development.

India’s Economy Moves Towards Global Leadership

Ratan Lal Nath said India has witnessed a major economic shift during the last decade. According to him, the country was ranked 11th among the world’s economies before 2014. He said India has now reached the 4th position.

The Minister said this progress reflects India’s increasing influence in the global economic landscape. He added that the country has moved ahead of several major economies.
