The Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society (MMCWS) is set to organise the third edition of “Walking Lens”, a photography exhibition in Agartala from July 10 to 12, 2026, aiming to unite photographers, artists, and communities across Tripura to spread cancer awareness and support humanitarian initiatives for cancer patients through the power of visual storytelling.

Agartala: The Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society (MMCWS) has announced the third edition of its annual photography exhibition, “Walking Lens”, an initiative aimed at combining the power of visual storytelling with cancer awareness and humanitarian support.

The exhibition is expected to be organised from July 10 to 12, 2026, at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala, bringing together photographers, artists, students, and photography enthusiasts from different parts of Tripura.

Unlike a conventional photography event, Walking Lens has evolved into a social movement that uses creativity as a medium to spread awareness about cancer and extend support to patients battling the disease. Through photographs, the initiative aims to highlight emotions, experiences, culture, nature, and everyday stories while creating a platform for collective action.

The upcoming edition will feature photographs from multiple genres, including nature, wildlife, culture, heritage, tourism, street photography, people, landscapes, and daily life moments. Apart from the exhibition, visitors will get an opportunity to witness cultural programmes, participate in interactive discussions, and connect directly with photographers and art enthusiasts.

The funds generated through the exhibition will be utilised for the welfare activities of the Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society. These activities include cancer awareness campaigns, early detection programmes, patient assistance, blood donation initiatives, and financial support for underprivileged cancer patients.
