January 02, 2018: The State BJP unit today targeted the Chief Minister and alleged the State is heading towards a Constitutional crisis after Chief Minister Manik Sarkar reportedly stalled a meeting a Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan and DGP AK Shukla with the Governor Tathagata Roy. Addressing a press Conference in Agartala today, BJP leader Ratan Lal Nath demanded a clarification from Manik Sarkar on the issue within next 24 hours.
“We are giving him 24 hours to clarify his stand on the issue”, Nath said. However, the Chief Minister has not reacted on the issue yet. Unless the CM comes out with a satisfying clarification, BJP would not remain tight-lipped. Leaders also asked both the Chief Secretary and Police chief to come out with fact soon.
