January 13, 2018: A group of contractual employees of horti department were helplessly lying on road last night near circuit house as neither the administration nor the leaders of ruling party bothered to speak to agitating employees. The contractual employees staged a road blockade in Agartala yesterday demanding regularization of their services in the horticulture department.
On a cold n chiling night, agitators were left as concerned authorities and ruling party leaders turned a blind eye. Under severe cold condition anytime mishap could happen as administration took no effective measure to send the agitators back home and instead allowed them to spend winter night under open sky.
At last BJP State president Biplab Deb reached the spot at the wee hours of last night and persuaded agitators to withdraw stir.
The insensitivity of the State Govt, officials of the horti department and leaders of ruling party have become obvious. “Certainly role of the Govt is highly condemnable as it shows ugly inhuman face of a Govt led by a Party that claims to be pro-people”, opined an Agartala based senior journalist.
