January 15, 2018: In quest for a poll victory in Tripura, BJP appears to be leaving no channels unused and even not hesitant to use administration, alleged Tripura CPIM today in Agartala. What prompted CPIM’s such a reaction is media reports stating that National Security Adviser Ajit Doval was present in a meeting held between Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and RSS top leaders to discuss about BJP’s poll strategies in Tripura. Based on media reports, CPIM is questioning as to why a top Government Official attended a meeting, focusing on strategies on Tripura Polls, between Rajnath Singh and RSS leaders.
“Notably, from the very beginning, CPIM leaders were raising conspiracy theory against the BJP and Modi-led Government. And reports of NSA present in a poll related strategic meeting will surely provide Leftists more ammunition against BJP ”, opined a veteran journalist of Agartala today.
In fact reaction from CPIM State leaders came very soon and grabbed attention. Sources said, CPM has written a letter to Chief Election Commissioner AK Joti and has drawn his attention.
Citing media reports, CPIM statement mentioned, NSA Doval attended a meeting which was convened at the residence of Rajnath Singh attended by BJP and RSS leaders to discuss the forthcoming elections in Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland.
CPIM leaders asked, how can a senior government functionary like the NSA be present in a meeting to discuss the BJP’s election campaign? “The Home Minister must immediately clarify”, Party sources said.
In Agartala, CPI-M state Secretary Bijan Dhar said the presence of any person holding a very important position like that of NSA is not only undesirable and objectionable, it is a glaring instance of blatant misuse of administration by the ruling BJP.
