February 24, 2018: Formation of LF government for the 8th term is just a matter of time – CPIM is almost 99.99 percent sure of its victory, claimed State secretary of CPIM Bijan Dhar today in Agartala. However, he did not specific number of seats LF are expecting to win.
“In the special State Committee meeting today, we have reviewed the sub-division wise reports on possible results of the February 18 Assembly polls and based on reports we firmly claim that the Left Front would certainly retain power and form eighth government”, Dhar said.
Saying that prevailing situations in Takarjala and Golaghati ACs are not conducive to free polls, Dhar said, “The CPI-M state committee strongly demanded shifting of counting centres for two assembly constituencies- Takarjala and Golaghati from Jampuijala”.
