March 06, 2018: Biplab Deb – the State BJP president will be the next Chief Minister. After a meeting today in Agartala, BJP today posted in facebook that Biplab Kumar Deb has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Tripura and Jishnu Dev Varma has been appointed as the deputy Chief Minister. BJP State unit expressed hope that “Tripura will usher into a new era of good governance, development and prosperity for people under their leadership”.
