March 10, 2018: The newly elected Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with his cabinet colleagues has assumed Office today. So far, nine Ministers – who took oath on Friday in a massive swearing-in ceremony – allotted portfolios.
In a notification, Chief Secretary of Tripura Government, Sanjeev Ranjan mentioned that about allocation of portfolios.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb retains with him charges of Home, PWD (excluding DWS), Industry and Commerce (excluding IT), Urban Development, General Administration Department, Labour, Information and Cultural Affairs and All the policies and any other department(s) which are not allotted to any Minister.
Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma has been assigned responsibilities of Power department along with Rural Development (Including Panchayat), Finance, Planning and Co-ordination (including Statistics).
Narendra Debbarma has got charges of Revenue and Fisheries.
Ratan Lal Nath is in charges of Education (Higher), Education (School), Law (including Parliamentary Affairs), Welfare of OBC and Welfare of Minorities Department.
Sudip Roy Barman has been given responsibilities of Health and Family Welfare, Science, Technology and Environment, Industry and Commerce (IT), PWD (DWS).
Pranajit Singha Roy has been assigned charges of Agriculture, Transport and Tourism.
Manoj Kanti Deb has got responsibilities of Youth Affairs and Sports, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
Mevar Kr Jamatia has become Minister of Tribal Welfare and Forest.
Santana Chakma has been allotted charges of Social Welfare and Social Education, Animal Resource Development departments.
