March 24, 2018: Aiming to make Agartala crime-free, Police administration today held a high level meeting. Sources said, the meeting was convened to assess prevailing condition and chart out plans against anti-socials and traders of contraband items. The meeting reportedly, also focused upon improving law and order condition of Agartala and adjoining areas.
IG (Law and Order) KV Srijesh chaired the meeting. In today’s high-level meeting, among others DIG Arindam Nath, SP Abhijit Saptarshi, three SDPOs under Sadar division. Reining in thriving business of narcotics and other contraband items is one of the main issues that were discussed in the meeting, informed sources said and added Police administration is gearing up to be tough against anti-socials.
Sources said, similar High level meeting was held in Dharmanagar with the Police officials of the North District.
