Following the Skill India initiative of the Centre, a skill development training unit, named Sakhyam came up at Bodhjungnagar industrial complex in Agartala, capital of North eastern State Tripura on Friday. The unit owned by the ILF&S with the logistic support of the state government planned to impart training to middle level educated but unemployed youths to the extent they would be industry-ready to get employment. In fact, after training course is over successfully, the trainees would be given away job offers, a spokesperson of the ILFS said.
Smt Bijita Nath, Minister for state social welfare department said the state government has taken on the challenges to curb unemployment problem by taking initiatives to make the unemployed youth trained and self-reliant. Smt Nath was addressing the gathering just after inaugurating the training institute, Sakhyam , in which 20 physically challenged youths got enrolled. (PNB)
