May 10, 2018: The Tripura Upajati Karmachari Samiti (TUKS) has completed its 50 years journey since inception. To commemorate this, a three-day Golden Jubilee Programmed has commenced from today in Agartala. The State Revenue Minister NC Debbarma graced the celebration.
Speaking on the occasion, NC Debbarma detailed about achievement and its contribution of TUKS relating interests of employees. Hailing TUKS struggle, he said, SC/ST Act was enacted in the State after prolonged struggle by the Samiti. Referring to terminated 10323 teachers’ issue, NC Debbarma said, the State Government has taken initiatives to save their jobs. He urged the terminated teachers not to lose heart and keep faith on Govt.
As part of Golden Jubilee celebration, a blood donation camp will be held tomorrow. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Deb Varman will inaugurate the camp in presence of State Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman.
