December 17, 2018: The High Level Committee chaired by the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh approved the additional assistance from National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) of Rs. 268.63 crore to flood affected Tripura and Rs 1023.59 crore to Cyclone hit Odisha .

The meeting was held here today to consider the additional Central Assistance to these two States. Tripura was severely hit by flood and landslides while Odisha was ravaged cyclone Titli in recent years.
The Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, Union Minister for Agriculture, Radha Mohan Singh, Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Gauba and senior officers of the Ministries of Home Affairs, Finance and Agriculture were present in the meeting.
