December 21, 2018: In all probability, for the first time, in the history of the State, one SDMO of Kailashahar Hospital under Unakoti district – Nrikendra Debbarma has been suspended. Sources said, Debbarma has suspended for dereliction of duty.

“He was reprimanded several times in the past for alleged negligence in discharging his duties – even, Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman cautioned him earlier. However, he did not bother and rectified himself”, sources said.
According to available media report, the Health Department took ‘unprecedented’ step and handed over suspension letter to Debbarma today after fresh cases of negligence were reported.
