Tripura: Idol found in paddy field

Agartala, January 04, 2019: A villager found an idol in an inundated paddy field at Paharmura under Khowai district today. However, details of the idol are yet to be ascertained.

Local sources said, one Alu Munda (52) – a resident of Ward 6 of Khowai Tea Garden Panchayat at Paharmura found the idol submerged under the water in a paddy field today. He collected the idol and cleaned it. As the report of finding the idol spread, large number of people assembled at Alu Munda’s residence.

Local administration was also informed. People are expecting experts to arrive and find out the details of the recovered idol.
