Agartala, January 30, 2019: One bike-borne person was arrested for breaching security ring for Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s convoy in West Bengal today. However, Deb was safe and unscathed. The security breach took place on Diamond Harbour route between Shursha and Amtali. The Chief Minister is currently campaigning in West Bengal for upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
Sources said, one Nirojuddin Naskar breached the security ring and entered into the cavalcade of the Chief Minister prompting one of the cars in the convoy to apply brakes all on a sudden and The Chief Minister’s car rammed into the car. In the collision with the other car, Chief Minister emerged unharmed. However, one local reporter and one Police personnel sitting in the other car received minor injuries and the glasses of the car were shattered. Later, Police arrested Nirojuddin Naskar.
