Agartala, January 30, 2019: State unit of Congress will show black flag during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed State visit. Addressing a press meet in Agartala today, PCC Chief Birajit Sinha said this. He said, “Prime Minister visited the State thrice and made a lot of promises, but failed to fulfill even a single promise.
The State Congress unit will flash black flag at Prime Minister Modi if he visits the State again to highlight his failure in fulfilling promises. Besides, Congress agitators will raise ‘Go Back’ slogan venting frustration of people”.
On other programmes, Sinha said, meeting of a newly formed NE co-ordination committee of Congress wll be held in Agartala on February. The meeting will be attended by Congress leaders of seven states, which will be chaired by former chief minister of Meghalaya Mukul Sangma, chairman of the committee.
The congress president demanded loan waive of farmers in state. He said farmers in state are poor and 80 percent of them are bankrupt, under this circumstance all loans of farmers should waived immediately.
Pradesh Congress does not support the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), as it’s based on religion. Congress also supports the ongoing protest on CAB in NE, said Birajit Sinha.
