Agartala, April 13, 2019: Tripura Pradesh Congress president Pradyot Kishore Debbarman today blamed the State Government over the ‘assault on Doctor’ issue. It appears that, echoing the statement of Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman, Congress chief Pradyot Kishore put onus on the State Government for not providing adequate security to physicians.
Speaking to the media persons in Agartala today, the PCC president said, “Even after the direction of the Health Minister the law enforcement machinery did not take any noticeable step. It does indicate that the miscreants who are involved in the incident, are being protected by some political force or something akin to this”, he added. “I am in constant touch with Dr. Kaushik Chakraborty and thus I know everything regarding the matter. The accused should be given exemplary punishment so that no one can dare to do such in near future” he said.
According veteran journalists, taking a cue from the Health Minister’s statement, Pradyot Kishore sought to lend subtle tactical support the Minister.
