Agartala, April 15, 2019: Poll campaigns for East Parliamentary Constituency in Tripura will be ended on Tuesday 5pm. Polls will be conducted on April 18 next. Total voters stand at 12 lakh 57 thousand 944 – out of which 6 lakh 37 thousand 649 are male voters, 6 lakh 20 thousand 291 are female voters and 4 voters are in Third Gender category. There are total 1645 booths under the Constituency.
Number of contesting candidate from East LS seat is 10. Left Front has fielded sitting MP Jitendra Choudhury, while Rebati Tripura is contesting as BJP nominee. Congress has fielded royal family member Pragya Debburma and NC Debbarma will contest as IPFT candidate. Besides, Amra Bangali, All India People’s Congress, Twipraland State Party, Tripura People’s party and Indian Mongolian People’s Confederation also have fielded candidates. One Independent candidate is also in the fray.
