Agartala, May 18, 2019: Lord Buddha’s message of peace, equality and non-violence is very much important and relevant even in today’s era. Governor Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki said this after inaugurating a programme organized to celebrate Buddha Purnima – the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha at Benubon Bihar in Agartala today.
“If we follow the principals of Buddha, problems like global terrorism and violence can be addressed. Messages and Principals of Buddha cast influence on King Ashoka – even King of Tripura was also influenced by Buddha’s teachings and that is why Benubon Bihar was constructed”, the Governor said.
He urged people to follow the principals of Gautam Buddha for a happy and peaceful life. Among others, secretary of Ram Krishna Mission Hitakamanananda Maharaj, J Lama and principle Akshyananda Bhikkhu were also present in the programme.
