Agartala, Jun 06, 2019: After formation of Modi-led Government for second successive term, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today met several Union Ministers and congratulated them. In series of meetings with Union Ministers, he stressed on harnessing tourism potentiality of the State and also focused on improving scope of quality education for better human resource development.
In his meeting with the Union Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Prahlad Singh Patel, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb focused on urgent need for development of archaeological and tourist locations in the state. The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to consider the setting up of an ASI Office in Tripura along with appointment of senior level personnel to ensure effective conservation of heritage in the state.
Union Minister Patel assured about expediting of various exiting tourism related projects under Swadesh Darshan and Prasad Scheme in Tripura.
Chief Minister then met Union Human Resource Development Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishanki and made the urgent request of initiating the Kendriya Vidyalayas in Dharmanagar in North Tripura and Udaipur in Gomati district from this academic session.
The Chief Minister also requested the setting up of an NCERT regional office in Mohanpur Agartala. The Chief Minister also urged the Union Minister, Nishank to initiate the inspection and related procedures for setting up of a Navodaya Vidhyalaya in Pecharthal in North Tripura.
Besides, Biplab Kumar Deb met Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Giriraj Singh.
Union Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries assured the Chief Minister of earliest sanctioning of unreleased fund instalments of previous years 2017-18 and 2018-19 for the development of fisheries in Tripura.
