Agartala, September 21, 2019: For the first time, the State Government has introduced centralized examination system today in which students of Class III to Class IX of all the schools under the State Government appeared in exams with ‘similar question papers’.
Addressing a press conference today, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, “Students of class III to class IX of all the government and government aided schools and Madrasas appeared in Half Yearly examination today on similar set of questions”.
“Half yearly exams for Class III to Class IX on centralized exam system started from today in total four thousand 494 schools including government and government aided schools, schools in ADC areas, government aided Madrasa”, Nath said and added, question papers have been kept in safe custody in 102 schools under Police vigil.
The Minister thanked the teachers, guardians, students and officials of the education department for successful introduction of centralized exam system in the State for the first time.
Talking about State Cabinet meeting, the Education Minister said that State cabinet had reviewed promises made in the last Budget – total 42 promises were made, out which 31 had already been fulfilled. Implementation of nine other promises is undergoing while two other remain stalled due to legal tangle, Nath said.
