Agartala, September 22, 2019: Foreign trade and Export trading in the State made quantum jump in 2018-19 compared to 2017-18, said Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today after inaugurating a new manufacturing industryat Bodhjung Nagar Industrial growth centre near Agartala.
He said, “The export value from Tripura in 2017-18 was Rs. 6 crores 46 lacs whereas in 2018-19 it reached Rs. 14 crores 66 lacs”.
On foreign trade, Deb said, Foreign trade was Rs. 390 crore 68 lakhs in 2017-18 whereas it has reached Rs.537 crores in 2018-19.
Stressing on faster implementation of developmental projects, Deb said in this new era of development we have to keep speed of Rajdhani express aside and move on to the speed of Bullet train.
The Chief Minister further said 91 small private industries has got license. In this connection, he also mentioned, credit ratio has increased up-to 17 percent. He also pointed out Tripura is the first northeastern state which has got first prize for its logistic parameters.
