Agartala, October 01, 2019: Fate of terminated 10,323 Tripura Government teachers remains uncertain as the High Court of Tripura today reserved its order on a batch of writ petitions filed by a section of terminated teachers. These 10323 teachers are currently working on ad-hoc basis, said Government Advocate Debalaya Bhattacharjee.
“A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Arindam Lodh, before which the arguments were submitted, concluded the hearing and reserved its order”, Bhattacharjee told.
Notably, the Supreme Court, in its latest judgment on the issue on August 02 last, had given liberty to the petitioners among ad-hoc teachers to approach the High Court afresh with their grievances. Fate of 10323 government school teachers faces uncertainty as their services will continue till March 31, 2020 as granted by the Supreme Court.
