Gazetted Officers’ Sangha, a BMS affiliated organization of the Tripura on Sunday extended gratitude to the State Government for providing 3 per cent increment to State Government employees during pandemic situation.
“While States like Kerala, Rajasthan, Telangana and Orissa have cut the salaries of employees in view of Covid19 situation, Tripura Government led by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb – not only refrained from a cut – announced to provide 3 per cent increment”, in a press statement, the Sangh members said. In this context, Sangh members detailed about quantum of cuts initiated by States like Kerala etc.
Terming this decision as bold at present situation, Sangh members strongly felt that the decision would help to motivate the employees more and boost the already growing economy of the State.
The Sangh also mentioned that the increment would be given from July 1 last and for this, government would have to shoulder total Rs 110 crore 83 lakh.
“State Government Employees clearly understand the present tough situation. However, braving the challenges, Tripura Government is providing an increment – this will certainly motivate the employees and help the Government in realizing its goal for prosperous Tripura”, members said.
Referring to ongoing Covid19 Pandemic, Gazetted Officers’ Sangha said, Tripura Government is battling all out against Coronavirus as well as ensuring implementation of welfare schemes. “With Sab ka Saath Sab ki Vikas mantra, State Government is working against Covid19 and trying to keep economic activities smooth”, Sangh commented.
“We strongly believe that steps taken by the State Government would help to overcome Covid19 challenges successfully. Members of Gazetted Officers’ Sangh are firmly supporting and cooperating with the State Government in it endeavour.
