In its endeavour to improve treatment of Covid19 positive patients, Tripura Government has decided to introduce Plasma Therapy soon in the State. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this today in Agartala.
Notably, the State Government has already increased number tests per day and presently is in 3rd position in the country in terms of per day tests.
The Minister also informed reporters that from July 27 next a massive drive would be taken to trace Covid 19 symptoms. Under this programme, he said, the health professional would visit every household to trace symptomatic cases.
“A massive survey will be undertaken by the state government. If someone is found symptomatic, he would be readily tested through antigen kits. And, based on the Antigen Test Report, further action will be taken as per rules and guideleines”, Nath told the media.
On the Plasma Therapy issue, he said, “The state government has taken initiatives to start Plasma therapy in Tripura. Several other States have started using this therapy and it is being felt that Plasma therapy will help the doctors in attaining good results in Covid 19 related treatment in the state”.
Speaking to media, Ratan Lal Nath also gave detailed information on the latest Covid 19 situation in the state, he said, as of now 244 people are in facility quarantine along with 4,412 people in home quarantine. Altogether 1 lakh 25 thousand 727 samples have been collected so far and total 3,469 tested positive. The number active cases now stand at 1,368 and 34 more people have been discharged after their results come positive, Nath added.
According to him, there are altogether 129 containment zones in the state right now.
Later, in a tweet, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb wrote that one more person had died today pushing the toll to 10. Later, he also confirmed that 206 fresh cases were detected today.
