Jana Unnayan Samiti Tripura (JUST) in collaboration with Smile Foundation, reached underprivileged people with relief materials and also made the people aware about measures needed for preventing Covid19. JUST and Smile Foundation members distributed dry rations to 150 families of Ganganagar R.D Block in Dhalai District of Tripura on Friday.
These rural families were badly affected by COVID-19 lockdown and subsequent restrictions. JUST delegates handed over the Emergency relief ration kits to the poor and most needy families who are the worst affected by the recent lockdown. The ration kits included grocery items and other essential commodities.
During the relief distribution the beneficiaries were also given awareness on some of the safety measures of preventing COVID-19 such as maintaining physical distances and wearing face mask while going outside for any purpose. They were also advised to stay clean by washing hands and feet frequently every day.
