On the occasion of NCC Day on November 22, the Directorate General of NCC, Ministry of Defence announced the award of “DG NCC Commendation Card” for the year 2020 to 160 cadres of all ranks in NCC across India.
From Tripura Lieutenant Daniel Debbarma, ANO cum Assistant Professor, Govt. Degree College, Khumulwng and Cadet Puja Roy from Ramthakur College, Agartala brought the laurels for the state—they were also awarded the “DG NCC Commendation Card”.
They belong to 13th Tripura Bn NCC, Tripura Unit under Silchar Group Head Quarters and NER Shilling Directorate. Their outmost sincerity, dedication and exemplary performances in NCC brought them exemplary laurels. The commendation card along with badges and Cash Award will be handed over to the awardees during RDC -2021.
Lieutenant Daniel Debbarma, ANO who is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Govt. General Degree College, Khumulwng got commission as an Associate NCC Officer (ANO) on February 23 last year at the Rank of Lieutenant after completing three months Pre-Commissioned (PRCN) Course at Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee, Nagpur.
