Baby can not poop,
Poverty stricken parents unable to afford treatment
A two-year-old baby is facing a serious problem in pooping since after his birth. The baby, Singraha Reang, son of Bhubanjoy Reang hails from Sadainanda Para under Gandachhera Ranipukur area.
According to Bhubanjoy Reang, his son was born in Gandachhera sub-divisional Hospital and at the time of his birth, it was found that he was unable to pass stool due to a blockage/narrowing of the intestine. The baby was referred to GB Hospital immediately in serious condition. Doctors, at GB Hospital, made a temporary passage through his stomach so that the baby can poop. Doctors suggested parents of the baby return to GB Hospital after six months for further treatment. However, due to abject poverty, the ill-fated parents were unable to take their baby to GB Hospital for further treatment. Meanwhile, the baby is facing serious difficulty in passing stool through the temporary passage.
“It is difficult for us to arrange meals for the family of five. How can we afford to go to GB Hospital for his treatments? My two other children would starve if I do not go out every day for works”, Bhubanjoy said.
