Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and State BJP president Dr Manik Saha have left for New Delhi on Wednesday.
Though no official version on their visit to Delhi was available till the last information came in, according to sources they would meet party’s top brass including BJP chief J.P. Nadda to discuss the latest political situation and organizational matters for preparing a roadmap for the 2023 assembly polls.
Yuba Morcha and Mahila Morcha activists will hit the streets across the state on Friday next (Aug 13). Besides, State BJP unit is preparing to welcome Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik in a grand manner.
Activists of both Morcha will hold rallies in all the sixty constituencies to register their protests against the attack on Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, use of indecent and objectionable words by CPI-M and TMC as well as the political conspiracy to disturb the developmental activities and peaceful atmosphere of the state, party sources said.
The state unit of BJP confirmed the protest programme in a press note.
The BJP activists from 14 mandals of the party’s Sadar (urban) and Sadar (rural) districts will hold the protest together. A street corner will be held at Paradise Chowmuhani following the protest march commencing from Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan.
Frontal organizations of the saffron party are also gearing up to welcome Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment- Pratima Bhowmik. She will be arriving in Agartala on August 16 next.
The state unit of BJP is set to give Bhowmik a warm reception since it would be her first visit to the state after becoming the central minister.
Bhowmik would be brought to the city from Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport following a colourful bike rally. According to BJP sources, there would be a programme to felicitate the Union Minister. A meeting would be held at BJP state office on Thursday to finalize the programme.
