Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb highlighted Government’s successful endeavour in creating conducive environment for quality education as well as in ensuring a favourable ambience where Government employees can perform and deliver service freely.
Attending two different programmes on Saturday, Deb dwelt on BJP-led Government’s focus in improving quality of education and augmenting infrastructural benefits in the State. In another programme, he also detailed on scopes and opportunities available to Government employees in rendering services to the people of the State.
Deb attended the World Pharmacist Day at Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (RIPSAT) in Agartala today. Speaking on the occasion, he said, people are witnessing success of Government’s efforts in fostering an education friendly atmosphere. Students of other States are increasingly showing interest in availing education facilities in Tripura.
During the observance of the World Pharmacist Day, the Chief Minister introduced PG course at RIPSAT. He also laid foundation stone of a Girls’ Hostel and planted a sapling at the premises of RIPSAT.
“Once, RIPSAT had only few students. However, now more students are seeking admission at RIPSAT so much so that many students find their names in ‘waiting list’. He said, such an improvement materialized because of incumbent government’s policies.
Deb said the number of seats in RIPSAT was increased from 30 to 60 after the BJP-led government was formed. Besides, an amount of Rs. 3 crore was sanctioned for the girls’ hostel.
In the programme at RIPSAT, a lifetime achievement award was given to retired pharmacist Manoranjan Naha.
In his speech, Deb also highlighted the achievements of Health sector and mentioned about introduction Tele-consultancy services in the State health sector for the benefits of common people.
The Chief Minister also attended the 24th biennial conference of the Tripura Civil Service Association in Agartala on Saturday. He launched a website of the Association and unveiled a souvenir. In the programme, the Association members donated Rs 7 lakh to the CMRF.
Addressing the TCS officers, the Chief Minister said, incumbent government believes in giving the employees a free hand. He urged the TCS officers to break the traditional method of doing a job and focus on innovative way to accomplish a task.
“TCS officers have a crucial role in transforming the State into Atma Nirbhor Tripura. Instead of citing the inefficacy of certain systems, Officers should deliver maintaining transparency”, Deb said and added, the BJP-led Government introduced transparent recruitment policies which is encouraging the meritorious candidates to appear for the TCS examinations.
Encouraging the Officers for working with more dedication, he said, importance of a work is much more than the person or the designation. Success will embrace one who can find ways for the welfare of people braving the odds and obstacles, Deb commented.
In both the programmes – at RIPSAT and Conference of TCS – Deb painted an encouraging picture of learning a skill and delivering services for the betterment of the society.
