Tripura Pradesh BJP has picked up candidates with a priority on local women and youth for contesting in 15-seat Bishalgarh Municipal Council polls, Union MoS for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik said at Bishalgarh in Tripura on Sunday.
She said, “Tripura Pradesh BJP selected candidates with a balanced approach to accommodating women and Youth. The candidate list contains names of several praiseworthy persons. It is a balanced team”.
Bhoumik held a meeting with the BJP nominated candidates with all of the 15 candidates who are contesting on November 25 Civic Body Polls for the 15-seat Bishalgarh Municipal Council. She held the meeting at Naraora BJP Office in Bishalgarh.
“Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb is giving equal importance to rural and urban areas. Under Deb’s leadership, developmental works are undergoing at a faster pace in rural and urban areas”, the MoS said.
She continued and said, “The prime focus of Civic Body Polls is development – Sab ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas”.
Exuding confidence in a sweeping victory for the saffron party, she said, BJP is set to win the Civic Body polls – moreover, all of the BJP candidates will win in Bishalgarh Municipal Council.
Meanwhile, after the announcement of names of candidates on Saturday, BJP has started a door-to-door campaign to woo the voters.
Earlier, Bhoumik paid tributes to Sardar Vallav Bhai Patel on his 146th Birth Anniversary. The Day was observed across the country as “Ekta Diwas’.
She tweeted, “Remembering the Iron Man of India, Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his Jayanti today. His tremendous contribution to India’s unity, integrity and history will always be remembered by this grateful nation. May we follow and cherish his ideals.”
