Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and MoS for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik have greeted the people of Tripura for showing immense trust in Bharatiya Janata Party in the civic body polls.
While hailing the people’s verdict, Deb said, “BJP has won around 99 percent seats in the civic bodies. The people of the state have given the right answer through EVMs that they want development. It’s a historic day.”
A vile attempt was made to disgrace the culture and customs of the State – people have given a befitting reply.
He said, be it the minority of people in Kailashahar or in Sonamura, they gave a proper reply to those, who tried to discredit Tripura, that they are neither minority nor majority; they are the people of Tripura.

Later, Deb in his Facebook handle mentioned, “Referendum of Tripura Urban Local Body Elections declared today shows the faith of people of Tripura in the developmental policies of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji. It also shows their belief in his motto of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.”
“It’s a remarkable win for BJP4Tripura in #Agartala Municipal Corporation Election, BJP4Tripura won 51 out of 51 seats. People of Agartala have shown abundant confidence in the double engine government led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji,” he wrote.
Pratima Bhowmik, thanking the people of the State, commented the sweeping victory of BJP in Civic Poll is the victory of democracy. Some people made Tripura a soft target to malign the State – however, people foiled the attempt.
She also reiterated CPM is the main Opposition of BJP in Tripura.
